4. How to Check CE Certificate Validity Online

Before you check the CE Marking Certificate, you should check the Notified Body Validity first.
- Verify Notified Body in European Union NANDO Database
- You can find the Notified Body on the CE Certification
- Check EU NANDO Database for authorized bodies (e.g., country: Italy – Ente Certificazione Macchine SRL).
- If the certification body is not found in the NANDO database, it means that the body has no right to issue the certificate and the CE marking certificate is invalid.
- Online Check CE Certificate via Certifier’s Website
- Example: Use Italy – Ente Certificazione Macchine SRL’s certificate verification portal.
- Enter the certificate number in the search box, and press the button [Verify].
- You can view the complete certificate on a new page. And don’t forget to check the details of the CE certificate.
- Send an Email to the Notified Body
- Some certification bodies do not provide online query portals. You can only confirm by email. Submit the certificate number and product details for confirmation.
5. CE Marking Certification Process for Water Meters
