Professional Installation Guidelines
Proper pre-construction preparation ensures long-lasting, reliable performance of the water meter box. During the construction phase, reserve a suitably sized opening for the unit. Fill the base of the opening with a gravel layer (or equivalent aggregate) measuring at least 1/3 of the total cavity depth, then set the water meter box firmly into the gravel bed.
The unit features an open-bottom housing design for intentional functional benefits: rainwater or incidental moisture entering the box can drain freely or permeate into the gravel substrate, effectively preventing water accumulation. Installation within a dedicated gravel zone further optimizes this drainage performance.
To block out pests, sand, dirt and debris, we highly recommend placing the water meter box on a layer of fleece or geotextile fabric, and wrapping the base to fully seal all potential entry gaps for maximum protection.
